Alex Ott, or the "Sorcerer of Shaken and Stirred" as dubbed by The New York Times (March 2011), is an organic chemist and master mixologist who has created cocktail menus for some of the best-known restaurants and bars in New York, Los Angeles, and Paris. He is a brand ambassador for Svedka Vodka, New Amsterdam Gin, Moet Hennessy, and Ecco Domani. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Alex has worked with the brand Mercy to concoct the ultimate hangover cure drink. NASA employs the mixologist's services in the making of space beverages. Alex is also a certified scent alchemist who has concocted cologne fragrances for Tom Ford. Dr. Cocktail is his first book.
