關於本電子書

If you don't like trail tales, bucking horses, dust, manure and cowboy stories, this book is not for you. If you like stories such as these "you haven't heard it all. Review, if you will, how we broke horses, how we drove herds of cattle across the prairie so the trains could haul them to market and if a few escaped, it would gave us something to do on Sunday afternoon. These wild cattle were roped, put on a skid, hauled out to the pens, and we called it fun because it was. In these days man had to rely on his neighbors due to hard times. We have now lost that attitude as money became more plentiful and people became more independent. WALT SPENT MORE THAN FORTY YEARS WORKING TO IMPROVE THE LIVESTOCK INDUSTRY. DONT MISS THIS EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THE WESTERN WAY OF LIFE AND HANG OUT WITH REAL WORKING COWBOYS ON RANCHES AND BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPES AND HEAR SIDE-SPLITTING STORIES ABOUT WALTS TIME ON THE ROAD. HE WILL SHARE HIS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE AND EVEN SOME OF HIS SECRETS!

關於作者

Walt Krier was very successful in his lifetime with a desire to work with the beef packing industry. He grew up during the dust bowl days, on a cattle ranch in western Kansas and was inducted into the army soon after graduating from high school. He was stationed at the Hanford Atomic Works in Hanford Washington where he suffered radiation burns. When he was discharged due to his health, he returned to the ranch life of breaking horses and working with cattle. He enrolled in college at Panhandle A&M in Goodwill, Oklahoma and graduated from McNeese State University in Louisiana. He was later employed with Swift Packing Company in Ft. Worth, Texas. This job led him further into the cattle industry with managing a cattle ranch in the state of Georgia. When family problems arose he traveled back to Western Kansas to help with the family ranching business. He later began working with American Cyanamid Company, selling paramedical medicines to veterinarians and feed dealers throughout the Midwestern states. He was promoted with this company through out his career. One such promotion began while selling feed medication and doing research with the United States Government to discover better ways to protect livestock against the disease of anaplasmosis. Another promotion was achieved while he managed a successful sales division, where he traveled world wide promoting their products. While he was employed with American Cyanamid Company he was buying cattle and managing ranches or pastures he leased throughout the United States. After his retirement from American Cyanamid Company he became an Ultra Sound Technician, doing research on the different breeds of cattle, and also teaching this profession at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. At this time he is employed by the largest livestock auction in the United States buying and selling cattle for Superior Livestock Auction.
