About this ebook

A young widow…

A grieving brother…

Could a second chance heal them both?

Widowed too soon, leaving her alone with a young son and a broken heart. Drew’s only priority is to rebuild a life for herself and her son. Love is the last thing on her mind.

As long as he can remember, Ben has secretly loved Drew. But now his only job is to be there for his older brother’s widow and son, not act on his forbidden feelings. No matter how strong they are.

Despite the promises she made to her dying husband, Drew never expected to be able to open her heart again. But shared grief brings healing, and when Ben finds a way to make good on his vow to his brother. It’s not only laughter and happiness he brings back into Drew’s life—it could also be love.

Elena Aitken has written another emotional second chance book in her Timber Creek series. When We Fell is the story about Drew and Ben. Ben has been in love with Drew for years, but Drew married his brother, Eric. When Eric dies from pancreatic cancer, Eric makes Ben promise to look after Drew and his son, Austin. This is the story of how Drew puts her life back together, after a heartbreaking loss. We also get to catch up with Evan and Cam, Christy and Mark, and Amber and Logan. Do yourself a favor and grab your copy and get ready to fall in love with all these characters from the Timber Creek series.

Fourth in the Timber Creek Series and my favorite, so far. This story deals with loss and renewal. There is heartbreak, stress, depression and romance. The character interactions are well and truly done, in places, a little over the top, but I felt an emotional link with the characters. Well done and a good read.
