About this ebook

It began with a cock. Of the rooster variety.

It ended with a groomsman toppling into the wedding cake.

Heidi hadn’t meant to be a bad bridesmaid.

She loved her best friend, and the man Kate was marrying.

She just didn’t love the groom’s brother.

The cocky—no pun intended—jerk had made Heidi aware of exactly how little he thought of her.

Fine. Whatever.

She’d thought they’d shared something…well, something more.

Clearly, she’d been wrong, and now Brad was dead to her.

Of course, that was before she had to walk down the aisle with him.

4 star Review Bad Bridesmaid (Billionaire’s Club #11) by Elise Faber Elise Faber is a relatively new author to me and I don’t know why that is. I was hooked on the story that the author wove about Heidi and Brad. Although it is book 11 in the Billionaire's club I was able to read this book as a stand alone, although it has ensured that I read the other books in the series as and when time permits. Being a bridesmaid at your best friends wedding should be a happy occasion except Heidi has history with the groom’s brother and that is complicating things. Bad Bridesmaid was a fun, quirky story with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. After a one night stand, Heidi left and in doing so unknowingly triggered Brad’s trust issues. He reacts by being a total jerk and then realizes that he has made a mistake and has to work hard to gain her trust and forgiveness. The banter between them was witty and the chemistry intense. As they embarked on their journey I was cheering for them to get their happily ever after.

Elise Faber is a fairly new author to me but with each book I pick up I find myself wondering why I haven’t read more from this talented author. Bad Bridesmaid is book 11 in the Billionaires Club and I haven’t read all the previous books but that didn’t stop me enjoying Heidi and Brad’s story so this book can certainly be read as a stand-alone. Brad is terrified of being left alone so all his life he has run before his partners can leave him first, he believes it’s better if he walks away so will his second chance with Heidi be any different and more to the point will Heidi be prepared to give him another chance. It’s going to take some serious grovelling to prove he is worthy of the smart, sweet and kind Heidi and it’s not going to be easy for her to give her heart once again to a man who took a piece of her with him the last time he ran. So will this time work out for this couple that fate seems determined to push together or will Brad run once again..... This is a story about trust and taking a leap of faith, it has wonderful characters and as you get to know Brad you really get to understand why he has spent his life running. This story ticked my boxes, it’s witty and steamy with characters I fell for for. Looking forward to reading more from Ms Faber.

Deep within the heartbreak lies hope for happiness. Faber delves into the pain and finds a reason to smile. Bad Bridesmaid is that reason. A turbulent romance. Emotional life lessons and a sprinkling of humor to level out the heartache. Brad and Heidi are a lesson in patience. From frustrating to heartbreaking, Faber creates something beautiful that sticks to your heart.
