People either embarking on a business career or seeking a way to boost one should check out this book. It provides lots of excellent and specific advice as to how to present yourself better in various environments… whether one-on-one or in a group. Non-business people, I think, would also gain a lot by reading these tips as many of them are universally sound.

Although there is a lot of material available on ways to influence and persuade people, most of the authors just present their own ideas and research, and rarely cite any of the others. Elizabeth's book is just the opposite. This book isn't about her work -- it is about the range of techniques that are available. She has done us all a great service by collecting the leading methods and showcasing and organizing them in a highly readable format. Thank you, Elizabeth.

About the author

Elizabeth Oprah teaches communication and speech classes at college in Chicago, where she moved with her family ten years ago.  In addition to teaching, Elizabeth runs training classes for people working in sales orientated industries, helping them learn how to be more effective at closing deals when dealing with customers.  She holds smaller sessions on site, but also has larger seminars, which are very successful, and usually fully booked.
