4.75 stars. This novella is dual POV, well written and edited, and a great second instalment in this sci fi romance series. I enjoyed the serious character development for both lead characters. I empathised with both their past hurts, and appreciated the contrasts between their life outlooks. I enjoyed Kinsley’s assertive personality and her willingness to fight for what she needed/wanted. I enjoyed Sil’s community focus and his wish to care for his clan and Kinsley.
