Dr Linda Howland obtained her PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of Newcastle, Australia. She has worked in the field of Biomedical Science for over 10+ years working on several immuno-modulatory therapies for diseases including the generation of novel vaccines for infectious diseases of the reproductive tract, new treatments for cancer and inflammatory lung disease. She has a diverse range of professional and laboratory skills in the fields of Immunology, Microbiology, Reproductive Biology, Virology, Molecular Biology, Respiratory and Oncology (Cancer). Her work has always been about the fusion of information across numerous fields of knowledge, believing that the best results are obtained by lateral and diverse thinking. Always hunting down the facts with a sharp eye. She is also a passionate advocate for communicating health to the community. She is also a wife and mother of two beautiful children, and volunteers in her spare time as a communication officer, event manager and public speaker for charity groups such as Hunter Medical Research Institute - PULSE. Importantly, she is also a PCOS woman. As such, she is very passionate about seeking the answers that empower women to be in control of their health.
