I'm expecting a daughter late this year, so I decided to feel around and educate myself on some possible strategies for raising a daughter in relation to a son. What I did not expect out of the admittedly very little that I read, was what seemed to be an outcry and attempt to brainwash me on how "Standards" are pushed on to young woman and children. I support factual information that is as non-biased as possible. I do not support this type of literature. This book is Politcal. Not for you to raise your daughter, but instead to politically charge her from birth to fight against others and their own ideas of how life should be. I'm not going to tell you to not buy this book. Because some of the information I came across in the notably short amount I read is seemingly credible, as it seemed to be basic parenting skills, like listening to your children, and not screaming at them when you are angry. But I would advise against it as the vocabulary in this book is passive agressive.
