Dr. Paul Hatherley has a PhD in psychology. He has studied English literature, history, religion, and philosophy. He has also explored Eastern thought as represented by Chinese Taoism, Indian Buddhism, and Japanese Zen. In addition, for over twenty years, Dr. Hatherley practiced psychotherapy and for the past ten years has offered education in mental and emotional development. Throughout his career, Dr. Hatherley has been exploring one key question, What, if anything, will make human life internally meaningful? Happily, the answer to this key question is provided by learning how to express love, pursue truth, and experience beauty. Eventually every real experience of lasting value and internal meaning can be traced back to one of these three activities. Dr. Hatherley currently resides in La Jolla, California, where he offers workshops, month-long classes, and individual sessions that help people become internally fulfilled individuals; as well as satisfying mates, competent parents, and real friends.
