About this eBook

Liam O’Donoughue is happy with his life. He runs V Wilderness Adventures with his best friends, his chosen brothers, and gets to spend his days hiking in the gorgeous Adirondacks. What’s not to love? But when he meets Austin on a hike, he thinks he’s found something he didn’t even know was missing.

Austin Jock is content with his work as a radiology tech and playing bass in a cover band. Someday he wants to find his forever person but doesn’t believe in romantic fireworks and isn’t sure it’ll ever happen. Then Liam comes crashing into his life, igniting sparks. Huge, life-altering sparks.

The connection between the two men is instant, and things move fast. But Austin isn’t sure what to do with everything he’s feeling inside. Can Liam convince him falling in love is the easiest thing in the world?

Holy spaghetti, this was a good book. It was not sensational or overly dramatic but a good, solid read that left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling in my body and a smile on my face. I was pulled into the story right from the start, and I didn’t put the book down until I was finished. The writing is so pleasant. It flows so smoothly that you just keep on reading and reading. It was funny, sexy, romantic, and I loved the characters. There is Liam, the always smiling and sunny wilderness guide. Not quite a good profession for him as he is sort of accident prone, but then, it is just who he is, and he takes it all in stride. Then he meets Austin, radiology technician. And yes, they have met in the ER, and no, they didn’t fall in love there. You just have to read for yourself how their story unfolds. It is love at first, or maybe second sight, but that doesn’t mean it is all smooth sailing. Especially Austin has his doubts about his ability to have a lasting relationship. The authors did a great job bringing Austin and Liam to life. They are down-to-earth men, who have that instant connection you can only dream of. And they are the perfect match. Happy, sunny Liam is exactly what the more serious and self-conscious Austin needs. Austin, in turn, keeps the sometimes stumbling Liam more firmly on the ground. They have some difficult trails to hike before they reach their destination. They don’t have to go over large boulders. It is more like stepping over a fallen tree, but it still makes the journey interesting. Have I said it was sexy? Holy manicotti, the chemistry is sizzling from the pages. And they have so much fun. I love the banter. Not only between Liam and Austin but also between the four other friends of Liam. Together with their dogs, one of which the sweet and naughty, not-so-small Tinkerbell, this band of brothers make up a stellar secondary cast. Their group of five fast becomes a group of six as they include Austin in their circle without any questions asked. Well, maybe a little from Jackson, but after all, he is like a mother hen. As there are five friends, with one fallen in love already, I hope we will get the stories of the other four men as well.

A sexy, good story I really enjoyed this novella, the first in the Family Found series. Liam and Austin are great together. The story is fun (Liam is a klutz) and sexy and romantic. Austin doesn't really believe in romantic love but when he meets Liam, in other than a professional setting, the sparks fly. Liam knows almost instantly that he wants Austin but he'll have to work to convince him that they could be a forever couple. This is a novella length story so there's not a lot of time to develop the characters but I think we get a good sense of both of these guys. The story also seems to set the scene for other books in the series considering the things we learn about Liam's brothers-by-choice and partners in V Wilderness Adventures. (I thought this was a strange name until there was more told about it later in the book.) The sexy time between Liam and Austin is really hot but the fun they have with each other is also fun to read. There's just the right amount of angst to be interesting and yet the book has a lighter feel to it. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series. An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
