Heute sind wir an einem Punkt angekommen wo sich die Begriffe Klimawandel und Klimapolitik immer mehr in den Vordergrund drängen. Immer häufiger kommt es zu Katastrophen wie Giftmüllfunde, Erdbeben, Hurrikane, Hochwasser und die drohende Klimakatastrophe gab Anlass zu Handeln. Dennoch muss man immer wieder feststellen, dass der Klimawandel in Zeiten des wirtschaftlichen Abschwungs ständig in den Hintergrund rückt und somit eine eher unbedeutende Rolle in der Weltpolitik spielt.
