I am such a type A, to do list obsessed, must be doing something at all times person. I read books and immediately put what page number I am on into Good Reads to see what I've accomplished. This makes sitting down, being still, FOCUSING, and being intentional really hard. I have a tendency to just want to finish the book and say I am done. When I do that, I hardly ever truly take in the content. This book is causing me to slow down, to focus, to be intentional about one word for one week. I can't fly through the pages and mark it "done" in a week. And that is exactly what I need! It is changing my life by causing me to be more patient, more focused, more diligent, more of all the good things that I need. Get the book - I promise you won't regret it! We could all use some slowing down and focusing in our lives!!

This helped me to decide what to focus on to get the results that I want. I found the chapter on eliminating useless input particularly useful, as I am easily distracted and often disappear down rabbit holes on the internet. Straight forward, common sense advice with a structure. It is a concise book which to me is a plus. The printable work book was useful too. I am now spending some time every day working on my business idea, which is my top priority at the moment.

I found this book to be so fascinating! the ability to explain the complex workings of the brain in such a simple way! I also appreciated how he has shown how both our good and bad behaviours affect our brain chemistry. A very practical read!
