About this eBook

When horse racing and football collide, Hunter McCoy, star tight end of the Seattle Steelheads and neophyte horse owner, finds himself in a battle of wills with a sexy horsewoman and a stubborn, opinionated race horse.

Kate Vanderhof-Carrigan's family has raised champion Thoroughbreds on their Kentucky bluegrass farm for over a century. Lately the farm has fallen on hard times, but Kate is determined to return Oak Brook to its former glory. First, she must satisfy an odd clause in her grandfather's will. She's been given five years to produce a winner of horse racing's biggest prize of all, the Derby, or lose the farm to her siblings and their development plans. Time has run out, and Hunter's talented horse stands between Kate and her last shot at the Derby. Only Kate never counted on her heart entering the race.

Hunter is juggling his responsibilities to his two-dozen investors, his blind sister, his football career, and his commitment to his tribe. The last thing he needs is an unwanted attraction to a spoiled rich girl who doesn't fit into his carefully crafted plans. Not only are they rivals on the race track, but she doesn't understand or appreciate his dedication to his Native American heritage. Yet despite the odds, all bets are off when Hunter and Kate find themselves in a relationship they can't resist.

With the stakes much higher than the Derby purse, can these two longshots win the biggest race of their lifetime or will their hearts finish out of the money?

**Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review** Game Changer is the next installment in the Game On in Seattle series and what a great addition it is! Hunter McCoy is not only a successful tight end for the Seattle Steelheads, but he's the majority owner of "Sid" a horse that the ownership group has very high aspirations for, including the potential to be Kentucky Derby winner. Hunter also is very devoted to his tribe due to his Native American heritage and he also lives with and helps his sister, who is blind. Hunter's plate is sufficiently full when he encounters a woman who is going to turn his world upside down. Kate Vanderhof-Carrigan comes from old money and she has never wanted for anything in her life. Two of the most important things to her are the horses that she works with and also the horse farm that has been in her mother's family for decades. Unfortunately for her, a clause in her grandfather's will is causing her to have to fight for the farm and the only way for her to win is to win the Kentucky Derby. When Kate and Hunter meet, they immediately butt heads. They bicker, they disagree and yet they are inexplicably attracted to one another. Neither one of them want to give the other aninch, and so they continue their tenuous dance as their two horses compete against each other during the run up to the Derby. Will the sparks that are so evident every time they are around one another going to turn into a raging inferno or will these two proud, stubborn people stand in their own way? I really enjoyed the characters in this book, including the secondary characters of Lilli and Cam. Following their relationship was an unexpected treat! Kudos to Jami Davenport for another quality addition to her already strong stable of books!

What a Sports Romance well written by Jami Davenport! We continue on with her series, Game Changer! I really was happy to get back into this genre with an author who writes it so well. This book was not just all about football or the team, Seattle Steelheads. Game Changer was unique, funny, dramatic, and all around complete. Hunter is my favorite! He loves with his heart and is a huge protector! He is the TE for the Seattle Steelheads and wants something a little different. Therefore you get horse racing! I do not want to give too much details, but I love how Hunter meets up with Kate. Fate plays a huge factor. Kate is strong willed and does not back down for anything or anyone. Lilli is resilient! She sees things that no one else can. And I was amazed! When you read the story you will understand. She has Hunter wrapped around her picky! He would do anything for his sister. The passion all the way around was great. You have your ups and downs, but I have to say this was a great book to read. I definitely recommend this book! I could not put it down.
