About this ebook

Olivia doesn't want to be a pen pal. So, how does she end up as a catfish? She just knows that she's falling in love with Van, and Van is falling into trouble. But does helping him mean losing him?

Olivia is living the good life as a lead blogger for Charbonnier Magazine. However, life at work may get a bit tenuous when her relationship with her male bestie implodes, just as her roommate offers up the perfect distraction in the form of a military pen pal program.

Except, this Marine looks awfully similar to her high school crush, who had strong feelings about plus-size women, much to her chagrin. All she planned to do was offer him up a little dream, but before too long, he became her dream. In her heart, she knows the accusations leading to his court marshal are wrong. If she doesn't do something, she may lose her heart and her man.

Still, what will Van think about all this catfisher's lies?

Game of Admirers is a wonderful epistolary, contemporary romance standalone. If you like cute, feel-good stories, with a curvaceous heroine and a couple that yearns for each other, then you'll love Patricia Hoving's engaging military romance.

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Patricia Hoving; I can’t wait to read more of her books. The story is about Olivia becoming a military pen pal and they end up falling for each other. When he ends up being accused of a crime, she knows he’s innocent but can she prove it. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

In Game of Admirers, Patricia Hoving gives us a cute story that is part mystery and part love story. Olivia is blogger for a prestigious magazine; she does not have a love interest but has good friends. One of her best work friends is the very handsome but vain Greg. When Greg (for unclear reasons) kisses Olivia, their friendship is compromised, and he becomes an office enemy. In the meantime, Olivia has started some correspondence with a former high school acquaintance who is currently in the marines. She has not been open with Van concerning her identity. Van is happy to write to Olivia who is using the name Gigi. He really needs her support when he is accused of a crime he did not commit. Smart (if bumbling) Olivia is determined to help Van out of this mess even if she never tells him who she really is. It is unusual to read a story where the main characters are not in physical contact for most of the book but Ms. Hoving makes it work!

Game of Admirers by Patricia Hoving was well written with a very mysterious storyline. The storyline was something that I hadn’t read in a long time and the author actually makes it work. Looking forward to reading more from this author. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
