As the authors themselves state at one point during the book they are talking about thinga that most people to an extent already know However, by putting it into context and dicussing why and how they are helping the reader realize why and how they should apply that existing knowledge. In many ways it changes the way a reader looks at negotiationsand to a certain extent life itself. Definently recommended if you've always thought negotiations were about being firm and "strong".

William Ury cofounded the Harvard Negotiation Project and is the award-winning author of several books on negotiation.

Bruce Patton is cofounder and Distinguished Fellow of the Harvard Negotiation Project and the author of Difficult Conversations, a New York Times bestseller.
