This book is one of my favorite works of fiction. I was entranced from the very first thrilling paragraph. It is an exploration on the meaning and value of living, and is a fantastic story. Innocent Smith is a gigantic man in green that comes along with the wind to an unassuming boarding house. This colossus teaches the tenants of the house, through his very actions and his wild and unusual outlook on life, about the substance of life. Innocent Smith represents the archetypal Cosmic Man: a symbol of the Universal existance. Part one of this book depicts the actions of Innocent Smith, and part two contains the explanations of the things he does. I highly recommend this book, which has been for the most part unobserved by the general public. It is, in a word, inspiring.
