Gretchen Scalpi, RD, CDN, CDE is a registered dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with more than twenty-five years of experience as a nutrition counselor. She owns a private practice and works with clients with health issues, mainly focusing on diabetes, pre-diabetes, and weight management. She was a reviewer for the 6th edition of Contemporary Nutrition and is the author of The Everything Diabetes Cookbook, 2nd Edition. Gretchen is a member of the American Dietetic Association and the American Association of Diabetes Educators. She currently serves as President of the Mid-Hudson Dietetic Association. Her home and private practice are located in the Hudson Valley in New York.
