“Damn,” Daniel heard his best friend Jonas say from the doorway. “This place looks worse every year.”
“What do you mean?” Daniel asked as he looked up. He had started unpacking his bags in the bedroom he always used to sleep in when they borrowed the cottage from Jonas’s parents.
Jonas sighed. “The roof is about to come down in the other bedroom.”
Daniel understood the implications. The cottage had only two bedrooms, which meant that Jonas’ room wasn’t safe to sleep in.
“No wonder your father asked us to do some repairs,” Daniel said. He knew he had to offer. “We can share this room. The bed is big enough for both of us.”
“Are you sure?”
“There aren’t any other options unless you want to sleep on the couch.” Daniel glanced at his friend’s bulky body. “But I doubt you will fit.”
Jonas chuckled. “I prefer a bed. The couch is worse than sleeping on the floor. Are you sure you don’t mind?”
“It’s cool, man. We’ve done it plenty of times before.”
“And I already know that you snore,“ Jonas added with a grin.
“Wise ass,” Daniel said and gave Jonas a shove. He didn’t budge at all. Even if Daniel used all his strength, he wouldn’t stand a chance against the bulky alpha body of his best friend. He couldn’t wait until his body made the same transitions. He may never become as large as Jonas, but a few more inches would do wonders for his short body.
“We’re lucky you haven’t bulked up yet, or the bed wouldn’t be big enough,” Jonas said with a broad smile.
“It’s nice of you to remind me that the alpha ego is just as big as your body.”
