The Historical Dictionary of the Vikings traces Viking activity in Europe, North America, and Asia for over three centuries. Katherine Holman is currently pursuing her own research as a freelance historian. Recently, she was lecturer in Scandinavian Studies and Assistant Director of European Studies in the department of modern languages at the University of Hull in England.
