He has set the Guinness-certified world record for the largest single-author book signing. Doug Beason is the author of fourteen books, eight with collaborator Kevin J. Anderson, including Ignition (bought by Universal studios' Joe Singer, producer of "Courage Under Fire") and Ill Wind (optioned for a mini-series), as well as two non-fiction books. A Nebula Award finalist, his short fiction has appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies.
