Dr. Larry Vickman, MD, MHA, FACPE, FACEP is a weight management specialist and senior medical director for Inches and Pounds. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and Emergency Medicine and has completed parts 1 & 2 of of the ABBM Certification in Medical Bariatrics. Dr. Vickman has been practicing in Tampa, FL since 2005. His education includes undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1967 and his MD from University of California at Los Angeles in 1971. He did his residency in Family Practice in Boise, Idaho. Additionally he completed the Graduate Program in Health Administration at the University of Colorado College of Business in Denver with an MHA in 1991. Dr. Vickman began his career in Family Practice and then changed to Emergency Medicine which he did for 18 years. Dr. Vickman is passionate about providing consistent and up to date weight management along with the diagnosis and management of weight-associated illnesses such as low Thyroid and Type 2 Diabetes. Specialty Board Certifications include: American Board of Family Practice, American Board of Emergency Medicine, and the first 2 parts of the American Board of Bariatric Medicine. Emergency Physicians in 1992, and American Academy of Family Physicians in 1977. Honorary Fellowships include: American College of Physician Executives in 2000, American College of Emergency Physicians in 1992, and American Academy of Family Physicians in 1977.• Member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP).
