About the author

Dr. Yama Temouri is Lecturer in International Business at Aston Business School, Aston University, UK. His main research interests focus on the link between home and host country institutional quality, foreign direct investment and firm performance.

Dr. Chris Jones is Senior Lecturer in Economics at Aston Business School, Aston University, UK. He maintains primary research interests in various areas of International Economics and Business. He has written papers on economic growth, trade and foreign direct investment with a focus on developing countries. His main interest is using firm-level data to analyse the location choices of MNE's applied to a number of different contexts; these include FDI in conflict zones, FDI in tax havens and the foreign direct investment decisions of Tobacco firms. In 2011, Chris won the Economics Network's Student Nominated Award for Learning and Teaching. In 2012 Chris won the Aston Excellence Award for being the Outstanding Teacher of the Year (staff nominated).
