This text provides a terse introduction to business and corporate finance.  It is aimed at students, early-career business professionals and career-changers.  It includes many foundational examples drawn from the fields of Investment Management, Private Equity, and Investment Banking.  The book is a required resource for courses at Columbia, Xi'an and Sichuan universities.

Anthony Webster is Associate Clinical Professor of Real Estate Finance and Accounting Curriculum Coordinator at New York University's B.S. in Real Estate program. He is also a Lecturer in Finance at Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. Mr. Webster has also taught in the Berkeley/Columbia University joint MBA program, and at Sichuan University and Xi'an University in China. From 2010 through 2014, Columbia’s students awarded Mr. Webster their highest accolade -- “Golden Nugget Professor” status – at their instructor-evaluation website, CULPA.info.

In 2002, Mr. Webster founded West End Advisors, LLC, a registered investment advisory firm that provides investment management and financial consulting services to small businesses and family investment offices. He is currently president and senior analyst at the company.

Mr. Webster is the author of two textbooks: Introduction to Financial Accounting and Introduction to Business Finance, which have been required texts at Columbia, NYU, Sichuan and Xi'an Universities. He has also written books on technology and construction economics, published extensively in leading technology journals, and served on the boards of high-growth companies and leading technical publications.

Mr. Webster holds an MBA from Columbia University's Business School, an MS in Engineering Mechanics from Columbia University’s Engineering School, and a BS in Applied Science in Engineering from Rutgers University (summa cum laude).
