About the author

Dr. Ioana Rada Ilie, MD, PhD, a specialist in Endocrinology (since 2008) and Diabetes (2016), and a senior consultant in Endocrinology since 2013, is involved in both teaching and training, and in clinical and research activities. Primarily and intensively engaged in providing theoretical and practical Endocrinology training for students and resident physicians alike, her research and clinical work has chiefly focused on the assessment and treatment of androgen excess in women, and particularly on polycystic ovary syndrome. Her current clinical and research interests include the field of Pediatric Endocrinology, especially the management of height deficits and pubertal disorders.
