Bidding on the Billionaire was my introduction to JM Stewart. That one story left an indelible mark on my soul. The way she handled Cade and Hannah's at times unorthodox love story was beautiful. She gave me the chance to fall in love with the individuals before I became wrapped up in the couple. A unique concept that if done right has lasting impact. Winning the Billionaire continues that concept with Christina and Sebastian's romance. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review and although this couples foray into love was not as unconventional as the previous story's, it had it's share of issues. Tina cares deeply, has a successful career and the smarts to keep it that way BUT, her biggest failures are in matters of the heart. She pines for the one person that she knows will never want her. Baz, has a phobia of being left behind. From childhood to adulthood he has carried the burden of feeling unlovable by the people who mattered most. His connection to The McKenzies' particularly Cade and Christina are his most prized possessions. Losing that is unacceptable. Ms. Stewart has become another addition to my MUST READ list. Her seductive stories bring more to the table than sex. This author appeals to the heart of her readers as well with well written stories that leave a lasting footprint after the last page is turned.

"Winning the Billionaire" is a great friends to lovers romance. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. You get an entertaining storyline with humor, sadness, and passion. As Sebastian and Christina struggle through this journey you feel the emotions and struggles that they are going through. "Winning the Billionaire" by J.M. Stewart is book number two in the "Seattle Bachelors" series. The book can be read as a standalone. But I want to go back and read the first book since I loved this one so much. This is software mogul, Christina "Tina" McKenzie and playboy billionaire, Sebastian "Baz" Blake's story. Christina and Sebastian have known each other since they were kids. She has always loved Sebastian. But he is off limits since he is her brother's best friend and a playboy. Sebastian never does relationships to try to avoid being hurt. He has always wanted his dad's love and approval, but never seemed to measure up to what his dad wanted. Christina and her brother are more like a family to him. Sebastian has always been attracted to Christina but feels that she deserves more than he can give her. He also doesn't want to jeopardize his friendship with her or her brother. Sebastian is vulnerable due to the stress from his dad's passing and the stipulations of the will. So, when Christina pops in and tries to comfort him the lines begin to blur between just being friends and being more. Christina wants true love and is determined not to settle for anything else. She doesn't want to be another notch on his bedposts. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an honest review. FYI, includes mature content. This is a perfect book to read on a vacation or when you just need to get away for a little while.

Winning the Billionaire by JM Stewart is the second book in her Seattle Bachelor's series. This book is about Sebastian and Christina, Caden's sister from book one. If you haven't read the first book you can still read this book without any problems as they can be read as stand alone books. Christina has known Sebastian 'Baz', a notorious playboy and her twin brother's best friend, her whole life and has been in love with him most of it but Baz still sees her as his best friends little sister. Having been deceived in the past by a man with a similar lifestyle of Baz, Christina no longer does 'relationships'. When Christina shows up at Baz's home to ask him to participate in her annual charity fundraiser Baz is in a grumpier mood than normal and when Christina pushes his buttons too far he snaps as pulls her into a kiss that leaves her breathless. Sebastian has been secretly hiding his feelings for Christina for years. She is his best friend's sister and lusting after her or worst, making a move on her would be disrespectful to Caden. Thanks to his father, Baz also has a stern no relationship policy. When tragedy strikes Baz finds himself facing a wide range of emotions and the one woman he has always wanted is directly in the line of fire. When one kiss ignites the fire that has been slowly burning in these two they have to decide if they can put the past behind them and risk losing their friendship to find their HEA. I seriously loved these two together. Their friendship was so strong that I feel it helped pave the path to these two finding their way to each other without the awkwardness they new relationships sometimes bring. The love and respect they have for each other shines brightly throughout this book and makes these two a couple you can't help but fall in love with. I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.
