About this ebook

She’s not the woman I thought … but dammit, she’s the woman I want.

I never thought of myself as cynical,  but getting dumped at the altar changes a man.
Now, I’m all about my job. About building my business and getting on with my life. Don’t get me wrong; I still love women. I love the way they look. The way they smell. The way they feel. Especially the way they feel. And I’ve pretty much made it my mission to give each and every woman who shares my bed the ride of her life.

But getting close? Getting serious? Giving a woman my trust again? Yeah, that’s not going to happen.

Or so I thought.

Then I met her. It’s funny how things can change in a heartbeat. How one case of mistaken identity can change everything. But there she was, all business and completely uninterested in me. And damned if I didn’t want her. Crave her.

Most of all, I wanted to help her. To keep her and her sister safe. But the more I get to know her, the more I want her. The whole package. The complete woman.
And the miracle is that she wants me, too.

Trouble is, we’ve both been burned before. Now, I know one thing for certain—the only way that we’ll survive the heat that crackles between us is if we both find the courage to leap into the fire together.

Lovely Little Liar is a novella originally published as Bitch Slap. Minor edits, such as expanded scenes, have been made to this book.

I love a book that draws me in and this book certainly did that, I was hooked from the first page. Pierce doesn't do relationships they don't work, his company is far more important to him than any woman, well that was until Jez caught his eye. Neither of them sleep with clients so when Jez hires the security firm Pierce runs they have no option but for to Jez to fire Pierce every time it gets hot between the sheets.... This is a hot romance that's easy to read and there's even a mention of serveral of the Stark World characters we have come to love. Once again this author gives us a fantastic read looking forward to more from these characters.

A PB&J never sounded so good! J. Kenner is back with a short and sassy standalone that is witty, fun, and of course, sexy. After a date meet-up goes awry, Pierce and Jez manage to meet up again. She's protective of her up-and-coming sister, and he's protective of anyone who hires his company. The banter between these two is electrifying and steam up the pages, the back and forth these two did made me blush a few times for sure. I loved the vibrant and well-written characters, and the storyline was unique, it was just a little shorter than I would have wanted. Great book that I'd definitely recommend to anyone!

"I didn't expect it." "What?" "You. I didn't expect you." If you're a fan of short, sexy, and swoony stories, this one won't disappoint!! Enter Pierce Blackwell of Blackwell-Lyon Security. He's been burned and burned badly. Sworn off any "relationship" longer than one night, he's prepared to meet the next bedpost notch for drinks, some innuendos, and finally, well.... you know. What he wasn't prepared for was HER. Jezebel. A case of mistaken identity leads him on a path he swore he'd never walk again. Rules will be broken for sure, but what about his heart? Will that be broken again, or does he finally have a chance at forever this time? Jez needs help. Her famous sister has been the target of tabloid gossip and her career it tenuous at best. She needs someone to protect her not only from the angry fans, but from herself as well. Hiring Blackwell-Lyon might be the smartest and the dumbest idea she's ever had. She has rules about getting too close to people, especially ones she employs. But Pierce Blackwell makes her want to thrown those rules out the window. Should she listen to her head and keep her professional distance, or should she throw caution to the wind and listen to her heart instead? What a great read. I loved the banter between these two, and the chemistry is off the charts! That window scene - Holy hotness!! Definitely recommend this one to anyone!!
