About this ebook

The nightmare begins before you sleep . . .

By the Master of Horror, James Herbert's Moon follows Jonathan, who fled from the terrors of his past, finding refuge in the quietness of the island. And for a time he lived in peace. Until the 'sightings' began, visions of horror seeping into his mind like poisonous tendrils, violent acts that were hideously macabre, the thoughts becoming intense.

He witnessed the grotesque acts of another thing, a thing that glorified in murder and mutilation, a monster that soon became aware of the observer within its own mind. And relished contact. A creature that would eventually come to the island to seek him out . . .

Please be aware This book is NOT downloading as an epub. I love this story, i have read it in paperback form multiple times.. i normally struggle to be interested in the books i can read comfortably, but this is an incredibly well written story that is not too difficult to read. i got lost in this book so much that i would spend entire days at a time reading it with no real awareness of the world around me (yes i read slowly) For me, reading this book again is like visiting a family member, something that is there whenever i feel the need to go back to it. i had mixed feelings for Childs as i understood being him must be an incredible, taxing struggle, yet i wanted to be him. This book does include a sex scene, only it doesn't feel like it is there just for the sake of a sex scene

Well paced story that's hard to put down. I'm a fan of James Herbert and this book doesn't disappoint. The only fly in the ointment is the fact that there are NO quotation marks, apostrophes and the odd missing comma in this E-book making it somewhat harder to read when the characters are "speaking", eventually you do "tune in" and overcome this but it does make the first few pages harder to get into. The publisher should be ashamed that this error is still apparent despite previous feedback.

In my opinion, Herbert's finest offering. Shrouded in taut suspense with writing that allows you to immerse yourself within the lead character, he gives any stephen king novel a run for its money....
