About the author

Yumiko Mikanagi was born in Tokyo and has studied in both Japan and the US. She is Assistant Professor in Politics and International Relations at the International Christian University, Tokyo. She is the author of ‘Sekai keizai hend? no naka no nihon’ (Japan in a Changing World Political Economy) and ‘Haken suitaiki ni okeru ky?ch?’ (Cooperation During the Era of Hegemonic Decline) in Kokusai Seiji.
