About the author

Jenn Savedge (Lurray, VA) is a full-time mom to two daughters, writer, and environmentalist who writes about the two issues most dear to her heart: children and the environment. She has written several books on eco-friendly living and is the owner and webmaster of the Green Parent, www.thegreenparent.com. Savedge?s articles on parenting have also appeared on websites and magazines such as ePregnancy, Healthy Living, iParenting, and SheKnows.com. She was a park ranger with the National Park Service for ten years, developing interpretive materials for children and adults at parks such as Yosemite, Shenandoah, and Sequoia. She has a BA in biology with a minor in environmental science and an MSc in environmental education.
