This is the 5th book in the Lake Bittersweet series featuring the wonderful friends to lovers romance between Jason and Kendra. We're back in the charming town of Lake Bittersweet, MN now that Kendra has returned to her hometown to lick her wounds after a painful betrayal and to help her dad run his restaurant. Jason and Kendra knew each other in high school and with both of them coming off of a break-up their friends think that they need a rebound so that they both can move forward they don't have to think twice about it they do it. What was supposed to be just a fling looks like it could be the best thing to ever happen to the two of them. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this wonderful friends to lovers romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book. I voluntarily received a review copy of this book.

After losing her business and her boyfriend Kendra heads home to Lake Bitter-sweet, where she meets firefighter Jason. Wow these two really got it going on. Their chemistry is off the charts and so sweet at times. Jason has a reputation for not taking things seriously enough at times, and Kendra is aware of that which puts up a barrier before they even start. So lots of push pull in the relationship to they get their act together. Well written, quite fun at times and great characters, a truly a delight to read. Well done!!

In the fifth book in the Lake Bittersweet series, we get Kendra and Jason’s story. They’ve both just got out of relationships, so they agree to see what happens, not expecting it to lead anywhere. Kendra and Jason are opposites, but they complement each other perfectly. I loved getting to catch up with previous characters and I’m really looking forward to reading Galen’s story.
