This is the first MSW book I've read that, during the middle of the book, I was hoping it'd end soon! Please, lemme explain.... The topic, Domestic Violence, was the Main Focus. While awareness needs to be brought to this, it felt like a "Dream-Sequence-Ordeal" that Jessica Fletcher was going through. I didn't feel like I was reading a MSW book at all! While the story was enjoyable, I was disappointed that I wasn't getting my "Murder-Mystery-Fix", as previous books in the series or even the television show. This book was different, to say the least, but intriguing and relatable (again, Domestic Violence is a subject that hit close to home, and needs a spotlight upon it). I understood the author's underlying message here, but I didn't feel like it "fit" with what we know + expect from our Mystery Writer & the residents of Cabot Cove. With that said, that's what my scoring is based on -- the story. 3/5.
