The Gospels contain many hard sayings of Jesus, but perhaps none have puzzled and intrigued readers as much as Jesus? discourse on the coming of the Son of Man in Mark 13. Robert H. Stein is senior professor emeritus of New Testament interpretation at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He is the author of several books, including A Basic Guide to Interpreting the Bible and The Method and Message of Jesus' Teachings, as well as commentaries on Mark and Luke.
