About this ebook

From Jody Kaye, bestselling author and the creator of the Kingsbrier Quintuplets, comes Home Wrecker: an emotional and intense reverse age gap romance. The chemistry is undeniable between a struggling single mother, determined to bring a positive male influence into her adorable son’s life, and the swoon-worthy younger man assigned to be his role model.

—Cary—

To get my head screwed on straight before it’s too late, I took on a mentor role with the big brother program. Shallow as it sounds, what any nine-year-old got from having me as a role model wasn’t a priority. Then Bhodi reminds me of everything I lost out on during my childhood.

Unlike the adults in my life, I’d planned on doing right by the kid. And not because of the way his mom, Holly’s, bare midriff always peeks over those signature cut-off shorts.

Or the way the woman—old enough to be my… older sister—looks at me from under those thick lashes.

After Holly gives me one night, she’s stolen my heart, and I’m set on winning hers over. I’ll do anything to keep them, including chasing off Bhodi’s old man, who is looking for a second chance.

And it leaves everyone around us wondering who is the real home wrecker?

Holly & Cary’s love story is perfect for readers who love angsty, found family, contemporary and new adult single parent romances filled with drama. A sizzling, southern, age gap romance, Home Wrecker features an jilted older woman’s second chance at love when she falls for a sexy, rich businessman. This is a full-length book in the southern small town North Carolina Shattered Hearts of Carolina Series and has a guaranteed happily ever after. (Please Note: This book contains other sensitive scenarios that may trigger readers.)

The story between Cary, Holly and a Bhodi was very sweet. Cary and Holly both have broken pasts and are leery about taking their attraction further because Cary has been assigned to Bhodi through the big brother program. Holly doesn’t want anything to hurt her son and if a relationship with Cary doesn’t work where does that leave her son who adores Cary. The story flowed very well and I enjoyed seeing the growth that this couple made. Holly being much older then Cary was a nice twist to the plot and her having a son. I would recommend this book to any reader who likes a medium burn, family growth and one who likes reading about a couple falling in love.

I enjoyed this New "Shattered Hearts of Carolina" story. This story is about Cary, Holly and her son Bhodi. She is a single mother and is older than her son's new big brother. The attraction between Cary and Holly definitely cannot be denied. I love the characters and the story is very captivating. Very good read with some depth to it.

Cary is a younger man who not only wants to help by mentoring in the Big Brothers program, he also wants to improve himself. I like that he takes charges of the baggage he drags around and tries to fix some of it while ignoring the rest. I like how he interacts with Holly and Bhodi but also with her sister and neice. I like Holly and her drive and her dedication to her son, her job, her family and friends as well as to making the best life for Bhodi and herself. We also get some twists and turns of mystery and suspense. William is a jerk and a bad guy. We also get Holly's boss, a jerk who somewhat redeems himself. The friends are uplifting and enhance the story, but there are a lot of them to keep track of, at times. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
