Pepper and Mateo . . . Pepper Corbin moved next door to Mateo Sanchez and she has a tendency to keep burning stuff in the kitchen. The constant smoke detector incidents are getting on his nerves. But when she needs a date for her sister’s destination wedding, the one where her sister is marrying her ex!!!, she needs someone quickly. So Pepper tells her family that Mateo, her sexy landlord, is her date. Fortunately for her, he decides to help her by pretending they are dating. Is this going to work? He kissed her and is finding it increasingly more difficult to “fake” his feelings. Spending time with her on a cruise is making him more aware of her. But will she believe he is serious about wanting more for them?

This is another great story in the Kingsbrier family; it is the first in the new "Kingsbrier Legacy" series. This one is about Mateo and Pepper. It is an incredible story filled with humor, love, hate and a whole rollercoaster ride of emotions. I loved every bit of this story from beginning to end. Love the characters!!!
