This is an excellent edition of the classic book. The illustrations are beautiful. Especially helpful are the many footnotes in every chapter, clarifying the meaning of what Christian, Faithful, and Hopeful meet along their journey to Heaven. The story vividly paints a true picture of the hopeless condition of those ignorant of salvation. Each condition to avoid is colorfully portrayed and comes to a disastrous end. The story is faithful to biblical teachings, passages referenced throughout. That salvation comes through grace alone by faith in Jesus Christ apart from human works is the book's clear theme. Every Christian should read this and take heart not only the stunning warnings but also the comforting promises of the Gospel.
