About this ebook

A potent defence of the individual, and a foundational text for political and social Liberalism, 'On Liberty' is a classic of English philosophy.

An important and fascinating book, in many respects it provided the spiritual basis of modern Western society - mistrustful of religion, respectful of non-conformity, and prizing personal over social fulfillment.
