OK, first things first, trying to make coding and command entry lively to unexperienced readers doesn't work. I roughly understand the basics, but reading the last 6 to 7 chapters gave me a migraine. Now, that being said, the book is descent. However, it lacks true fundamentals that, in my opinion, scare many people away from using Linux OS's. There's no really good explanation of what or where to acquire programs, or any real breakdown of the modern graphical (Windows-like) interface of Mint. What a shame.

App is good, but lacks the ability to choose your own background color ; some eyes prefer a light blue background for reading thanks

Very good reference for those new to Linux, and those more experienced in using and installing Linux. Highly recommended.
