I highly recommend this book! I am a marathon runner and I do yoga so I stretch a lot anyway. Then one day I was out running and hit by a car. I thought my body would never be the same. After only a few days of doing the stretches in this book I started feeling back to myself. I know that many people are not as flexible as I was even after my accident but you can start feeling a difference right away. The stretches really do work and only take 3 minutes a day! I am a nurse and this book was very knowledgeable. I agreed with everything I read. I am now teaching my mom the stretches. She said they make her feel great and she suffers from chronic shoulder pain after breaking her collar bone several years ago. Even if you don't read the whole book to understand the "why", read about the stretches and do the 3 minute routine (if possible) everyday. Really, what's 3 minutes a day?
