This book brought a lot of things to my attention that I've been knowingly ignoring for years. Definitely a good place to start when exploring a minimalist lifestyle.

It's ok. Better books are available. Short snap bites, practice advise, not very inspirational. Interesting short snap bites of minimalism.

Solid principals but delivery and format are not what I hoped for. Segmented and a tad repetitive, but overall good.

About the author

Joshua Becker and his young family live in Peoria, AZ. In many ways, they are just your typical middle-class, suburban family--minus the dog and relentless pursuit of physical possessions.

After a conversation with their neighbor on Memorial Day 2008, Joshua and his family decided to pursue a more minimalist lifestyle. Consequently, they decided to remove their nonessential possessions. Eventually, over 70% of their belongings were sold, donated, or discarded. In exchange for owning less, they found a life of more freedom, more contentment, more generosity, and more opportunity to pursue the things that mattered most.

Joshua is the Founder and Editor of Becoming Minimalist, a website dedicated to inspiring others to find more life by owning less. The website welcomes over 300,000 regular readers each month. The website has inspired millions around the world to consider the practical benefits of owning fewer possessions and given them the practical help to get started. His books have sold in the tens of thousands. And his writing has led to speaking opportunities all across America and media appearances in the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post Live, and the CBS Evening News.

No doubt, you'll be inspired to approach life with a whole new mindset after meeting Joshua.
