I'm not sure that it's necessary to give the life history of every single person that Washington runs across in his travels. In fact, I've already run across a couple of points where the footnotes have superseded the plot. Not cool. I was shocked to notice that on page 96 or so, we are only on page 13 of Washington's journal. That's just... tedious. Anyway, it's a good story so far. Some one ought to edit it for redundancy, then maybe we could get some kids interested in it. ;)
