Nicole's Book Musings
I love a good friends to lovers book and this was a good one. Gary has more then friendly feelings for his best friend and one night changes everything more than he even expected. You can see the deep connection Kate and Gray have, but the unexpected twist to their relationship causes a rocky road for the two. Gray himself has no clue what path he wants his future to go, but he does know he wants Kate in it. I loved the set up for the next book in the series because I have a feeling that one is going to hit me right in the heart. I'm really looking forward to it.
Cherisse-Angel Charles
This is the first Harlequin I've read for some time, and I have to say I did enjoy it. I read it through in one sitting - it fully held my attention. I fell in love with Gray's impulsive nature almost immediately, and loved the way he balanced out Kate's innate compulsion to be neat, planned and orderly. In turn, she helps him figure out that some things should be treated with a little more care & thought, and that the things we most want & end up chasing after are almost always right in front of us, hiding in plain sight. I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
