4.5stars--MAN IN BLACK is the third instalment in Julie Ann Walker’s contemporary, adult BLACK KNIGHTS INC: RELOADED romantic suspense series- a spin off set in the author’s BLACK KNIGHTS INC world. This is Fisher Wakefield, and Eliza Meadows’ story line. The premise is captivating and compelling; the romance is seductive but struggles in the face of ridicule and scorn; the characters are desperate, determined and broken.

This thrilling read had me clinging to the edge of my seat as it stretched my nerves to their breaking point. I absolutely LOVED Eliza and Fisher. Their banter was wicked sharp and the sparks incendiary! Plenty of push and pull between these two as the gripping story unfolds. The blend of drama, tension, intensity, emotion, twists and action was smart and skillfully constructed to pull you in tightly and keep you firmly entangled right until that last page gets turned.

Not going to lie, I dreamt about this book and the overlaying story arc, after I finished it! I also didn’t want the story to end, because I needed more of Fisher and Eliza, they were just too cute and perfect together <3 They experience a lot of pain in their story, and old wounds and misconceptions cloud their thoughts, feelings, and judgments. Luckily, those who already have their BIG BKI LOVE (I love that saying so much) are around to help them out.
