About the author

Dr. Bhupendra Singh Kharayat earned his M.Sc. (Agri.) Plant Pathology (2009) and Ph.D. Plant Pathology (2013) from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand (India). Currently, he is serving as Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) in KVK, Champawat, G.B.P.U.A.&T., Pantnagar, Uttarakhand (India). Also, he served as a Research Associate in the Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi (India), during 2013–2017. He has over eight years of experience in teaching, research, and extension. Dr. Kharayat has published 12 research articles, a book on Foundations in Plant Pathology, 11 book chapters, 15 popular articles, and one laboratory manual on “Plant Bacteriology”. He has received a certificate of recognition as “Honourable Mentions” from FAO in the International Year of Plant Health Photo Contest (2020). Dr. Kharayat has created a YouTube channel “e-Plant Health” which has been recognized nationally and internationally.
