Das Segment Süßigkeiten wächst kontinuierlich. Konnte die Branche 2007 noch um 3,5 Prozent zulegen, so waren es im Frühjahr dieses Jahres bereits 5,3 Prozent. Das Auslandsgeschäft, insbesondere China, ist mit einem Anteil von 40 Prozent der Wachstumstreiber. Schokolade und Schokoknabberartikel wurden besonders stark nachgefragt, der Umsatz in diesem Segment stieg um elf Prozent.
