About this ebook

Jaded Army medic Ryan Malone never expected his next mission would bring him back from Afghanistan to tiny Wishful, Mississippi. His great uncle's health is failing and the cantankerous old coot has pushed everyone in the family away. Ryan is their last resort to get Uncle Percy to move into assisted living before he breaks a hip—or something worse. He's looking to get in, get it done, and get back out. That definitely doesn't include taking time out for a sweet-faced waitress with a heart bigger than the Atlantic.

Interior designer Hannah Wheeler is a long way from the high-powered clients of her old Atlanta firm. Despite the fact that she's currently spending her days waiting tables, she's discovered she really enjoys the small-town life she found with her sister. This Christmas season, she's finally ready to introduce Wishful to her true capabilities by using her skills to spread some holiday spirit. But with Ryan and Percy, she's definitely got her work cut out for her.

Will Hannah's evergreen cheer thaw their frosty hearts and remind these two that the most important part of the holidays is family?

Another heartwarming story involving two broken people, a veteran from the Afghanistan war and a designer now waiter, both back at the small town of Wishful. Good plot, and relatable characters. A good addition to the series.

A Lot Like Christmas is another 5 star hit!!! A nice, "tip your hat" to the military and a lesson in giving rather than receiving. It always comes back 10 fold, so make it a positive heartfelt gift of giving, for the happiness one gets doing so are numerous! Hannah having a form of PTSD from an accident over a year before and now afraid to drive is something I see often as a caregiver to TBI patients. I often see too, the ones that can't wait to get back behind the wheel, only to freak out as soon another car or truck gets near them and then get in another accident sometimes worse than the first. All the military who are serving or have served, along with all the first responders deserve ONE BIG THANK YOU!!! from each of us for the gift of selflessness they give each day of service. Ryan serving in the Army and taking his valuable leave time to help an honorary "Uncle" he loves and respects gets a well-deserved gift too. It was fun and heartwarming watching these two, fall in love and get a happy start to what looks to be their happy ending. It's always nice to see some or all of Wishful's residents. To reacquaint in their community. To see that wishes are still coming true and give us hope for ours to possibly come true too. The quality of writing, the depth of characters, and the passion each show for their friends and families are amazing! Well done. This too is a stand-alone, but starting from the first "Wishful" story will help fill in the blanks and really give one the full experience of what makes this wee town and its residents so wonderful. As an ARC reader, this is my honest opinion.

This is yet another fabulous funny, warm, endearing and enchanting romance. The characters are so real and intoxicating - Hannah is just the nicest, cheeriest, most positive person - I want to be here BFF; and Ryan is strong and guarded, and truly heart wrenching as you get to see his vulnerable side. The book is timed perfectly for this time of year and I have the urge to start decorating... well actually maybe just bake lots of Christmas treats!! I highly recommend this book and all of Kait Nolan’s books - you will not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
