About this ebook

Three sexy cowboys find their lives upended in surprising ways in this sweet and sexy new trilogy of feel-good contemporary westerns from Kate Pearce, New York Times bestselling author of the beloved Morgantown series.

In this fun and sexy new series debut from New York Times bestselling author Kate Pearce,  a real cowboy doesn’t back down from a challenge—even when an unexpected arrival shakes up his world . . .

When an old military buddy turns up at the ranch he shares with two friends, Noah Harding never imagines the friend will skip out overnight and leave his baby boy behind. Noah will have some choice parenting advice to offer when the baby’s mother turns up, but until then, he’ll do his best to take care of the little one. Yet when a relieved Jen finally tracks down her son, Noah realizes the story is more complicated than he thought. And soon, so are his feelings for Jen . . .

Jen Rossi doesn’t expect much from her unreliable ex, but she’s shocked to return from an extended mission and discover he’s abandoned their son with three men she doesn’t know. Not that Noah isn’t doing a good job as fill-in daddy. In fact, there seems to be very little the straight-talking cowboy can’t do. And with a winter storm settling in, and close quarters making it impossible to deny their chemistry, this temporary solution might just become the key to forever . . .

Enough steamy romance to melt through the harshest blizzard! Wow - this book is going to make you feel like you've settled in for a "Long Winter" filled with equal parts humor and heartbreak, sexy times and tragic times, and a whole new look at what makes a family unit. Jen is trying to co-parent little Sky with his party hearty father, Dave, who is supposed to take care of the baby while she's deployed. But when she's finally on leave Dave and the baby are no where to be found. It takes her weeks to track her son to the ranch in Northern California where Dave dumped the baby on his three bachelor friends, men he served with who were not the least bit surprised by Dave's irresponsibility. Noah, one of the unwilling babysitters who believed Dave's tales of his ex, met Jen at gunpoint once she finally hiked her way through the unusually heavy snow to find her son. I loved the way these two were at odds right from the start, and how they had to work through layers of misconceptions and lies to figure out just what the future held for them. Jen has a lot of baggage from her own dysfunctional upbringing that motivates her to set everything aside except what's best for her son. I readily identified with her as a mother, and thought the author did an outstanding job of showing the emotional turmoil she went through trying to balance everything out. Noah's partners - ranch owner Luke and unpredictable Max - are more than just background characters. I really enjoyed how the author gave life to all the characters throughout their time in weather-related forced captivity. All of this is happening during the worst blizzard on record, resulting in more than one life-threatening situation and enough work to keep everyone busy while they sort out what they're going to do once the weather again allows for contact with the outside world. This is the kind of story that grabs you by the heart right from the first pages and doesn't let go until you're sighing with relief at the beautiful HEA. I loved every bit of it, and highly recommend it for anyone who loves contemporary cowboy romances. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Love the movie, love the book. Loser, self centered dad, frantic mother, 3 handsome ex-Marines Cowboys and 1 adorable baby. Dave visits his old buddies from his days as a Marine, but is antsy to start his new job. Co-parenting with Jen isn’t easy and his mom decides to live her own life and not watch Sky all the time. So he skips out on his friends and leaves Sky behind. Luke, Noah and Max can’t believe Dave just up a left Sky with no warning, but that is Dave.

I think the three cowboys concept is also very interesting and complex. Noah is opinionated but humble and compassionate. Engaging, slow burn as proximity challenges attraction and as misunderstandings and feelings tug heart strings. The Jen and Dave situation was very frustrating. I received a free copy and voluntarily chose to review.
