Ratings and reviews

I love Resident Evil, and this was a pretty good read, but over 40% through and Alice hasn't even woken up in the shower yet. A good idea to give some of the employees a backstory, but "the guy who spilled his coffee" didn't need his own chapter, neither did the researcher who screams "No fire here! No fire!", need an entire chapter. I like an extended story, but so far this is extended unnecessarily.

Upon multiple viewings of the Resident Evil film, I was intrigued enough to pick up the book ‘Resident Evil: Genesis.’ It was a decision I’m glad to have made. For anyone debating whether to read it—don’t hesitate! The book enriches the film experience, offering depth and details that the film version omitted. Even though my experience with the Resident Evil games is incomplete, I appreciated the film’s adaptation. However, I would suggest skipping the rest of the books in the series due to their apparent lack of thorough editing, and it’s important to note that only five out of the six films have been novelized.

Alice is super awesome as ussual you know for a book fan like me i'd say of all the books i red this was the most incredible novel of all.

About the author

Keith R.A. DeCandido was born and raised in New York City to a family of librarians. He has written over two dozen novels, as well as short stories, nonfiction, eBooks, and comic books, most of them in various media universes, among them Star Trek, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Marvel Comics, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Serenity, Resident Evil, Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda, Farscape, Xena, and Doctor Who. His original novel Dragon Precinct was published in 2004, and he's also edited several anthologies, among them the award-nominated Imaginings and two Star Trek anthologies. Keith is also a musician, having played percussion for the bands Don't Quit Your Day Job Players, Boogie Knights, and Randy Bandits, as well as several solo acts. In what he laughingly calls his spare time, Keith follows the New York Yankees and practices kenshikai karate. He still lives in New York City with his girlfriend and two insane cats.
