 Lalitha Balasubramanian graduated from MumbaiUniversity and did a Post-Graduate Diploma inJournalism from Bhavan's College, Mumbai. Sheworked in the Editorial department of the Institutefor Research in Reproduction (ICMR), Mumbai,before switching to freelance writing. She has published over 200 articles as well as a children'snovel, The Twins at the Ancient Villa (2009).
