I just bought this book in Singapore. This book provides a good understanding of the Private Equity industry in China with a well structure format. As a person not very familiar with China, it starts with a basics of private equity and the macro trend of China, which is very useful. The different classification of funds in China, locally owned and foreign owned funds with both USD and RMB currency under management is a new concept, that shows the big difference between PE in China and PE elsewhere. The US has been dominated with LBO deals with huge fund size, that is not the case in China, where minority investment is more common. In general, a very well written book and I believe this is the first book on this subject. I look forward to more books on Private Equity in China, or the second edition of this book. Thanks the author.

This is a book covering all aspects of Private Equity in China. China is unique in the way that it has its own currency private equity funds and the treatments for domestic and foreign currency are treated differently when making PE investment in China. The author covers almost all aspects of the current situation of private equity industry, while it is still in its developing stage, private equity industry in China offers a huge opportunities for the world and I think aspiring and young private equity professionals, and business students whether in the undergraduate or graduate schools, should pick up a copy to get a good undertsanding of this unique opportunity of getting involved in this industry. In terms of PE investment experience and research ability, China has a lot to learn from the west, while in terms of the market, the west could safely bet on China.
