In response to the previous comment. I loved SK's criticism about the former president. All of SK's books, not just the past few, criticize the former p; in a sense. Look at the traits and value systems of the antagonists and look at the former p. SK did not change, nor is he tantruming....you just never understood that the author you admire doesn't share your values. The antagonists in SK's books shared similarities with t, even before he was president. A scary dude (poor value system) is a scary dude and makes for great fiction (fiction?).

I liked it. Beware, there are some disturbing scenes and topics, like any other Stephen King book, but definitely not as bad as other horror books I've read before. The story takes the perspective of Jamie, a kid with a supernatural ability describing his childhood. He starts his story from a young age and describes what it was like to live with his single mother, a Literary Agent, (because Stephen King doesn't know any other occupation ha ha) and living in NYC while the 2008 Recession takes a toll on his family, all while living with his supernatural ability. Personally, I felt really attached to the main character as Stephen King magically described what the stress of the 2008 recession did to not only our parents, but to us when we were kids. Although I've never said "Check it" like the MC, Stephen King really captured the confusion children of '08 experienced in that time. My review might be a little biased because of this, but it makes the story that much more personal to me.

Hopefully he cuts out his TDS. The last 4 or 5 books, he ALWAYS has to throw his little jabs at our President, and it gets REALLY old after awhile. Hope his tantrums are over now.
